MINUTES
STAFF REPRESENTATIVE GROUP
April 14, 2004

Members present: Ellen Whitaker (External Relations), Cindy Daniel (Office of Undergraduate Admissions), Cindy Owensby (ECON), Mary Evans (Selig Center), Billie West (MGMT), Betty Pharr (Dean's Office), Stan Johnson (Logistics), Marsha Dickerson (ACCT), Amanda McKasson (FINA), Regina Pope (OIT)

Members absent: Melissa Turnipseed (Institute of Leadership), Sheila King (Assoc. Dean for Faculty and Research), Marsha Richmond (ILSRE), Donna Sisk (MBA), Betty Baskins (Business Office), Sebrena Braswell (MIST), Connie Autry (MARK)

The meeting was called to order by Sally Vandiver. There were no corrections or additions to the minutes from the previous meeting.

Sally reviewed the Staff Council meeting. The following items were highlights:

• The staff newsletter will be submitted twice a year, the communications committee will need articles.
• The staff council is tossing around a vote of confidence for Adams.
• There is a link for the Staff Council on the Human Resources website, www.hr.uga.edu, but it is easier just to go to http://www.uga.edu/ugasc/
• You can buy up to 3 years airtime after 25 years of service. This is on the trs website http://www.trsga.com/active/default.asp
• There was discussion of keeping the Gwinett people in the srg loop. Cindy Daniel volunteered to keep them in touch.
• The shared leave application is on the HR website www.hr.uga.edu
