Randy Jackson is the director of human resources and administration for Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. Randy joined the company July 16, 2007, as the Top American Executive to Lead the West Point, Georgia Automotive Project.
Prior to joining KIA, Randy was employed with Mercedes Benz USA and International, Inc. in Vance, Alabama. There, he was a member of the senior executive management team, leading the human resource group to support their major expansions and growth. The organization was able to successfully move from one automotive model to three, and increas employment from 1800 to over 4500, while maintaining a positive team relations climate.
Before Mercedes, Randy was with Toyota North America's corporate office in Erlanger, Kentucky. In that role, he was general manager of human resources and administration for North America. At that time, he helped start up plants in West Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Alabama, Mexico, and Europe. In addition, he led several Toyota expansions in Canada and the US, and assisted many Toyota suppliers with their start up needs.
Prior to Toyota, Randy was director of human resources for Alcan Aluminum North America based in Louisville, Kentucky.
During his career, Randy has worked in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Japan.
Randy has been published several times in the Society for Human Resource Management's magazine, and is recognized as one the top leaders in his field around the country.
In addition, Randy has served on many labor law panels and projects with various law firms dealing with major NLRB board decisions. He is also a member of the Korean Southeast United States Chamber of Commerce Board.
Randy is from Macon, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in psychology in 1979. He also received his MBA in business and cost management from Century University, and earned a JD from UCLA. Jackson also has his legal certification in labor law from the Institute of Applied Management and Law.
