RMI Alumni Listserv

What is it?

A listserv is an email discussion and announcement forum where those who subscribe can easily communicate with other members of the listserv. Looking for a long-lost classmate or want to make it easier for others find you? Need some help on a tricky risk management problem? Wanting to meet with other UGA alum in your area? You can do it all with the UGA RMI Alumni listserv! Also, we circulate alumni job openings on the listserv periodically.

How to Subscribe

  1. Go to http://www.listserv.uga.edu/
  2. Click on "Browse, Subscribe, Post, Search..." link
  3. The web site that appears will have a yellow-shaded section with a text entry box with "GO!" located to the right of it. In that box type ALUM-L. Then, click "GO!".
  4. The main page for "Alumni Listserv" will load. Click the second link on the site that says "Join or leave the list (or change settings)".
  5. Enter your email address and name. You can leave the "radio buttons" below the email address and name fields blank. Click "Join the List".
  6. Be sure to check the email address you entered for a confirmation email with instructions that will officially add you to the listserv.

Once you have done this successfully, you will receive confirmation and instructions on how to use the listserv. We hope that you find this to be a useful resource. The Alumni Listserv is another one of the benefits for UGA RMI alumni!

View the listserv archives

Any ALUM-L listserv subscriber may view past postings via the listserv website.

  1. Go to http://www.listserv.uga.edu/
  2. Click on the "Browse, Subscribe, Post, Search ..." link just under the title of the page.
  3. The website that appears will have a yellow-shaded section with a text entry box with "Go!" located to the right of it. In that box, type ALUM-L. Then click "Go!"
  4. The main page for the "Univ of GA Risk Mgmnt Info" listserv will load. Subscribers can view previously posted messages by selecting the month in which the message was sent.
  5. Choose desired month to view all messages posted that month.
  6. The Listserv program requires that all new users acquire a new listserv password before accessing the archives. Follow the link "get a new Listserv password first."
  7. After registering your listserv password, return to the logon screen and proceed using your newly registered password.
  8. Access to previously posted messages is now granted.
