- In 2001, refocused his activities on the Atlanta and Southeastern market
- 20-year career with the Trust Company of Georgia (SunTrust Banks, Inc.). This span included heading the Southeastern Corporate Banking Division and later for National Corporate Banking. He spent 3 years as president and CEO of the Trust Company's mortgage banking subsidiary.
