The Terry College of Business is an upper division program that enrolls only third- and fourth-year students. All new UGA students who plan to pursue the BBA degree will be admitted to the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences as "pre-business majors." For most students, application to enter Terry will typically occur in the second semester of their second (sophomore) year. Students who plan to enter Terry majors will apply and be evaluated for admission based on selection criteria specific to the desired major.
Students must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for admission to a Terry BBA major:
*Students may apply if they are enrolled in course work that fulfills these outstanding requirements. Acceptance in the major is contingent upon satisfactory completion of in-progress work.
Acceptance to majors in the Terry College of Business is contingent upon successful completion of course work in which you are currently enrolled. If you do not complete courses to fulfill 60 hours, Areas A-F of the Core Curriculum, and maintain a 2.6 overall GPA, an 2.00 UGA GPA, you will not be permitted to take major courses and may be required to reapply.
Admission is determined on the selection criteria, the number of seats available, and the credentials of the applicant pool. There is no guarantee of acceptance to any major in the Terry College of Business. Accounting applicants are evaluated on the criteria listed below.
Once accepted, Barbara Musengo, BBA Accounting Advisor, will email students with details about advising and registration.
