MAcc Advising
Note: MAcc is used to describe both MAcc and Five-Year MAcc students.
Once accepted into the MAcc Program, students will answer questions about their intended plans for graduation, internships, etc. A tentative Plan of Study will be provided, mapping the candidate's entire course work and requirements until graduation, as graduate courses are generally offered only once per year.
Advising is available each semester, prior to the pre-registration period date determined by the UGA Registrar’s Office. For currently enrolled MAcc students, an email will be sent about 6 weeks into the semester with dates for future advising appointments. Appointments are scheduled via the UGA Student Advising & Registration Assistant (SARA) system.
Only currently enrolled MAcc students have access to the SARA system, as you must have a UGA MyID to access the system. Newly admitted students will need to contact the advisor for an appointment.
A list of the current MAcc and MBA course offerings will be sent to students to review for the upcoming semester(s). MBA electives may be restricted and require special permission. Details of how to attain permission will be included in the course offering information.
Students may earn a maximum of three hours of internship credit (ACCT 7800) to count towards the MAcc. Permission to enroll in ACCT 7800 is required prior to registration for the class. Your advisor will need to know with whom you are interning to give you permission.
